IT ISN'T COMPLICATED
God created man kind to worship Him.
God loves everyone the same He has no favorites.
God wants His children to have good lives.
God made it easy for us to be part of His family.
Of course we had to make it complicated.
So lets go back, way back, when Mosses lead the Israelites out of Egypt.
Mosses went to the top of the mountain and had a conversation with God.
God gave Mosses 10 commandments that we are suppose to go by.
The 1st commandment: You shall have on other God before Me.
Okay, that is an easy one right?
Wait do you put God first?
How about money, cars, homes, clothes, jewelry, and power?
How do you rate those things?
What about your job?
What about your family?
There is nothing wrong with any of those things but if you put them before God
you are making them your god.
How did you fair with the first commandment?
The 2nd commandment: You shall not make for yourself a carved image any
likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath
or that is in the water under the earth.
This is something that most people now don't do.
Other religions make statues but religion is not of God.
As Christians we go by Gods commandments not mans religious rules.
The 3rd commandment: You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in
vain.
This one is easy or is it?
Do you use Gods name when aren't praying or speaking about the Lord?
If you are you just might be taking Gods name in vain.
Gods word says, the Lord will not hold him guiltless if he takes His name in vain.
So are you guilty of taking the Lords name in vain?
Also all the other fowl language that comes out of so many mouths is not
acceptable in Gods eyes.
We have to watch what comes out of our mouths.
The 4th commandment: Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy.
This commandment is one of the harder ones to keep.
These days the employers don't seem to think about church.
They think about the bottom line.
When I worked on Sundays I made sure that every chance I got I'd praise the
Lord.
Then on my day off I would read the Bible and fellowship with some of the sisters
and brothers in the Lord.
The 5th commandment: Honor your father and mother that your days maybe
long upon the land which the Lord your God has given you.
This is also simple, do you treat your father and mother with respect?
When they ask you to do something do you argue with them?
If they need your help are you there for them?
How are you doing so far?
The 6th commandment: Thou shall not murder.
This one by far probably 99% of the people will say that is something I would
never do.
But wait, what about that guy you treated badly.
You pushed him away for what ever reason.
Maybe you were suppose to witness to him and maybe that same night he died.
Since you didn't witness to him, he will spend eternity in hell you were his last
chance to accept the Lord.
Now you will have to answer for his death.
Or what about the young girl that gets pregnant?
So she goes and gets an abortion.
Now she is guilty of murder.
What about the adults that didn't tell her that the baby was a living soul?
They are just as guilty of murder if not more so.
The thing is you probably will not be aware of the first part pushing someone
away until judgement day so be careful how you treat those you meet and
treat them with Christian love.
The 7th commandment: Thou shall not commit adultry.
So this we must address to many.
The world seems to think this behavior is fine everyone does it.
Even if you don't have affairs have you ever lusted after someone of the opposite
sex?
Even if you didn't act on it you have already committed adultry.
How did you do on this one?
The 8th commandment: Thou shall not steal.
Have you ever stolen anything?
Most of us would have to say yes sad but true.
How many times have you left a place of business with one of their ink pens?
Have you cheated on your taxes?
Found something in a place of business but didn't turn it in like a wallet or change
purse?
My friends these are all cases of thieft.
Has a cashier ever given you too much money back?
Did you keep it or did you tell them that they made a mistake?
I heard a young man say well maybe they will be more careful next time.
Maybe there wasn't a next time because they lost their job.
Is that how you would want someone to treat you?
The 9th commandment: Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
Have you ever had a grug against your neighbor?
If so have you told out and out lies against them?
Or have you told a story about them and added your own opinion?
When you do things like that you are damaging their character.
What would you say if someone did that to you?
My mother always said if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all.
The 10th commandment: Thou shall not covet your neighbors house. You shall
not covet you neighbors wife or man servant nor his female servant nor his ox,
nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neirghbors.
This is an easy one for me because I grew up not having much but thankful for
what I did have.
But for some it is hard to see someone who has more than they do.
Look at someone that has les than you do and then it makes a big difference.
You will be greatful for what you do have..
There will always be someone who has a bigger house, nicer car, and everything
money can buy.
If you could be a fly on the wall in their house you would find out they are not
happy unless Jesus is the Lord of their life.
You see the big house, cars, money, and all the things are empty and do
nothing for us because you will feel empty inside.
The things the Lord offers us love, faith, prace, joy, hope and freedom in Him all
are free.
All you have to do is ask Jesus into you life and He will come to you and you will
have the Holy Spirit that will reside in you.
God will supply all of your needs.
He will never leave or forsake you.
When you are so weak and feel like you can't go on He will carry you.
He loves us so much He died on the cross with all the sins of the world on Him.
God asks us to live by the 10 cammandments.
He asks us to praise and worship Him.
He asks us to walk in His way.
He asks us to give all of our burdens to Him.
He asks us to open ourselves to Him so He can work through us.
He wants us to talk to Him when we have a problem.
He wants us to rest in Him.
WOW!!!!!
Seems to me the Lord is doing all the work and blessing us for allowing Him to do
all the work.
Don't make being a Christian so complicated because God never intended us to
be confused and think that we are not capable of being one of His children.
My prayer is that all who read these words, the Lord gave me, will help you as
much as they have helped me. God doesn't ask us to do anything hard.
He
wants to work through us and for us to be obedient to Him when He asks
us to do something.
God bless you and your family, may the Lord keep you close to Him.
PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
THAT LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS.
