CONDITIONS
OF SALVATION
When I was first saved I asked what does God expect from me? I thought
I had to behave completely different.
But I found out that I still had to struggle with old habits. So I walked away
from the Lord.
I didn't feel like I was worthy of the promises He made me. That is where I
made my first mistake. You see God loves us just as we are.
There are some areas that I did change and I didn't do that on my own. The
Holy Spirit was helping me out there. But I just didn't understand that.
To this day I struggle at times with what I want, not thinking about does this
glorify the Lord?
God does not expect us to be perfect in everyway. We are only human and
until He calls us home we won't be perfect. We have all fallen short of the king-
dom of God.
As a mother I didn't expect from my son at two years old what I expected
from him when he was five years old and starting school, and so on. The older
he got I expected his behavior to change.
God is the same way with His children. He teaches us as we walk with Him.
The longer we walk with the Lord the Holy Spirit will teach us and help us to
glorify the Lord in all that we do.
As I've said with every part to this salvation paper I am learning more and
getting to know Him better. I wouldn't want it any other way . It is just one of the
ways He shows us just how much He loves us.
The Lord helps me write each of these lessons, and yes, corrects me when I
don't have something quite right..
My hearts desire is to see the Kingdom of God to be increased. To see more
people saved and inheirting their place in the kingdom.
REPENTENCE OF SIN
Repentense of our sins are a must in salvation. But that is not to say that
God expects us to live a sinless life.
As humans we will still struggle with sin. It is in our nature. God still has
to
remind me what comes out of my mouth can really discourage someone or even
worse turn them away from God.
Each of us are different, therefore He deals with us each as individuals. My
struggles may not be a problem for you at all.
Salvation is a very personal thing between you and God. When you start to
wonder if you have received the free gift of salvation remember these things:
1. God loves you just as you are.
2. He will never leave or forsake you.
3. There is not one, other than God's Son, that has no sin. We have all fal-
len short of His kingdom,.
4. If you are struggling with a sin just ask the Lord to help you., He is faith-
ful to us and will help you in all things.
Repentense is to turn away from the ways of the world. If you are doing some-
thing that does not glorfy the Lord, the Holy Spirit will show you and and help you
to change whatever it might be.
We still have our free will and have choices to make in ouir lifetime. Some-
times we make the wrong choice but the Holy Spirit will let you know that some-
thing is wrong with your choice.
The world says it is your conscience but in reality it is the Holy Spirit helping
you to see the truth.
Turning away from the ways of the world does not mean that you can never
have fun again.
Have a glass of wine with dinner or a beer. Have a party. Enjoy life!
God
doesn't want His children walking around looking unhappy. Just think when you
have a party does it glorify the Lord?
God fills His childrens hearts with love, joy, hope and dreams. We just have
to put Him first and foremost in our lives.
To know God is to love God. To trust Him with everything within us. Our
hearts, minds, and souls.
Peter said be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. This is an outward show-
ing that tells the world that we have given our lives to the Lord. That you are now
one of Gods children.
God on the other hand looks into our hearts. Do we have a heart for the crea-
tor of all things? Do we have a heart for the one who breathed life into mankind?
Do we put God before the things of the world? Things like money, cars, big
houses, and so on.
Once we become children of God let Him show us the ways in which He will
be glorified, for He is worthy to be glorified.
FAITH IN CHRIST
You must have faith in Christ Jesus to receive the free gilf of salvation.
You must believe that Jesus is Gods only begotten Son. That He came
to save the world, not to condemn the world. That He died on the cross with
all the sins of the world on Him so that we might live.
You must believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. That just one drop
of His blood wahes us white as snow. Jesus poured out His blood for us be-
cause He loves us so much.
Scripture after scripture tells us that Jesus and our belief in Him is the only
way we will inherit a place in Gods kingdom.
When you ask Jesus into your heart He lives within you and you within Him.
We have been justified by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior
There is no other way toi receive the free gift of salvation.
We cannot be justified by the law that Moses gave the Israelites. It is only
through Jesus Christ that we can have everlasting life.
Jesus is the only way into the kingdom of God. No one can say I am in the
kingdom because I was a good person while living on the earth.
Who ever calls on the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, shall be saved.
By the grace of God, through the faith in Jesus Christ we are saved and re-
cieve the free gift of salvation.
SUPREME LOVE TO CHRIST
There were only two scriptures on this in the text I used on this subject.
It means that we should love Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior above all
others. Jesus told the people, that were lollowint Him, that unless they hated
their mate, children, mother, father, sisters, brothers, and even themselves they
could not be His desciples.
The point He was making was that they had to love Him first and foremost.
Above all others and everything in the world. He has to come first in our lives.
The love we have for our families is nothing compared to the love that the
Lord has for them. He gave His life for all of us. His love is pure love. With no
conditions. He loves us just as we are.
As humans we seem to put conditions attached to our love. If your wife or
husband does this or that you will love them forever. But when they don't meet
those things, that we required from them, we get a divorce.
Men and women alike abandon their children because they get into trouble
or simply because they are too much trouble to take care of.
I am not saying that a man or womanb should stay in an abusive relationship
But sometimes the reason we give up and walk away are for silly reasons. I
heard one lady say she had to leave her husband because she couldn't handle
his snoring problem. So she divorced him.
Gods love is not like that. He says come just as you are and let me show you
what true love is. For God is love.
How much more could Jesuis love us than to die for our sins. He had no sins
of His own. Jesus Christ the Son of God was without sin unt8il He took the sins
of the world on Himself. Then He went to the cross and died for those sins.
RENUNCIATION OF THE WORLD
Have you heard some measure their success with what they have? A big
house, nice car, big bank account, and so on. The world teaches us that what
we have is how we can tell if we are doing well.
There are not enough things in the world that can fill the void spot in you if you
do not have God in your life.
No matter how much we have we always want more. It seems like you have
friends everywhere. But if you loose everything they don't come around anymore.
You cannot buy love. The world says money talks and makes the world go
around. The world is wrong. The world fill our hearts with pride, envy, and dis-
trust.
When we give our hearts to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, He fills our
hearts with love, hope, compassion, and all the things that money cannot buy.
The joy of the Lord is something I would never give up for all the money and
things the world has to offer us.
God supplies all of our needs and some of our wants. He blesses us every-
day with His presense in our lives. Just know that He is always there for you
when you need Him. He brings a peace over us that the world cannot offer us.
The world offers us confusion and restlessness.
In order for God to really move in our lives we must turn away from the ways
of the world.
To seek God daily and desire to be in His will. He will set us free from our
sins. That does not mean that we won't make wrong choices in our lives.
God wants His children to have nice things. He does not want us to live in
poverty. But we cannot put things above God.
Just look around you and see the things God has blessed you with. Not
only have your needs been met everyday, look at the beautiful things around
you.
I love flowers in the spring. My yard is full of beautiful flowers that are a con-
stant reminder that God has not forgotten me. So be thankful for the things
God blesses you with.
CHOICE OF SALVATION
God will not force anyone to choose Him over the worldly things. It is of our
own choosing which way we want to live.
He has given us two choices. Life, everlasting in His kingdom or to spend
eternity in hell.
If you choose to live for the worldly things here on earth you are choosing
to spend eternity in hell.
If you choose to put God first in your life, you are choosing to have everlast-
ing life in Gods kingdom.
You see our bodies wear out and we pass away. But our souls live on,.
If you are one of Gods children your soul goes to His kingdomn where you will
have everlasting life.. No more pain. No more worries. No more trials or tribula-
tions. You will be with loved ones that passed away before you. We will fellow-
ship and praise God for eternity.
If you are not one of Gods children your soul will not enter Gods kingdom
but it will enter hell with Satan and the fallen angels. There will be pain, fear
and no fellowship there. You will be in darkness unable to see anyone or any-
thing. Your soul will be in tourment for eternity. You will cry out for death to
take you but there will be no end to the pain that you will be dealing with for eter-
nity.
I pray that you will choose God. As a Christian I don't want to see any-
one go to such a horrible place for eternity.
God didn't create hell for mankind. He made hell for Satan, the fallen an-
gels, and Satans deamons.
Too many have chosen the ways of the world. So choose God and live
in the light for etyernity.
NOT
BY WORKS
I thought that I was a pretty good person before I asked Jesus into my heart.
I gave food to those who were hungry. I clothed those who had very few clothes.
I gave money to those who were in need for rent or utilities. I even helped those
who were addicted to drugs.
At the same time I was doing all the worldly things myself. I wanted to be
recignized as a good person. So you see I was not giving God the glory for do-
ing the things He wants us to do., I was self-centered and wanted people to see
me. I didn't think I needed God. I could do it on my own.
No one can enter Gods kingdom unless we accept His free gift of salvation.
It does not matter if we are a good person if we do it for the wrong reasons.
When I asked Jesus into my heart I knew the difference then. I did not do
those things to impress anyone. In fact I started doing them without letting them
know where it came from so that God would get the glory. It was God working
through me to bless others that are in need. But also if He had not blessed me
I would not have it to give.
It always had been but I just did not realize it. Mans sinful nature is always
more interested in the I than in others needs.
We have all fallen short of Gods kingdom. His plan of salvation cannot be
earned by good works. We must believe in Jesus, (Gods only begotten Son),
that He died for our sins.
No man will be able to say that by the way he lived his life on earth allowed
him to be part of Gods kingdom.
We must accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. When you ask Jesus into
your heart you will want to do things differently than you have in the past.
I pray you will study these scriptures so you will have a better idea of how to
glorify God in all the things you do.
God loves us just as we are but I know that your hearts desires will change
when you ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life. The more time you spend with
the Lord the more you will want to please Him and live your life the way your
heart tells you.
There is such a peace knowing that you have been set free from your sins.
Let the Lord show you the way. Your salvation is personal between you and
God. He will not expect more from you than you are able to handle.
God shows me everyday something that I did not know or understand. Do
not get discouraged just do the best you can to glorify God in all that you do.
God will always be there for you. You will never be alone again. You will still
have hard times to go through but it is so much easier when you know that God
is right there where you are.
I pray that all who read this series on salvation will come to know God more.
That you understand above everything that God loves you more than anyone that
has ever told you that they love you. I pray that you learn to love Him more than
you have ever loved anyone else.
PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS THE SON, AND
THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT LIVES IN ALL OF
HIS CHILDREN

vation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world pro-
duces death.
FAITH IN CHRIST SCRIPTURES
John 6:47; Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has
everlasting life.
John 9:35; Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had
found him, He said to him, "Do you believe in the Son of
God?"
John 11:25-26; 25) Jesus said to her, :I am the resurrection and the life.
He
who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live."
26) "And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.
Do you believe this?"
John 12:36; "While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may
become sons of light." These things Jesus spoke, and de-
parted, and was hidden from them.
John 20:31; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the
Christ,
the Son of God, ad that believing you may have life
in His name.
Acts 2:21; And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name
of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 16:30-31; 30) And he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I

God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 1:16-17; 16) For I am not ashamed of the gospal of Christ, for
it
is the power of God to salvation for everyone who be-
lieves, for the Jews first and also for the Greeks.
17) For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from
faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
Romans 3:21-30; 21) But now the righteousness of God apart from the
law
is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the
Prophets,
22) even righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ,
to all and all who believe. For there is no difference;
23)
for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,
24)
being justified freely by His grace through the redem-
tion that is in Christ Jesus,
25)
Whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood,
through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because
in His forebearance God had passed over the sins that
were previously committed,
26)
to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness,
that
He might be just and the justifier of the one who has
faith in Jesus.
27) "Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By the law?
Of works? No, but by the law of faith.
28) Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith
apart from the deeds of the law.
29)
Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not also the
God
of the Gentiles? Yes of the Gentiles also,
30) since there is one God who will justify the circumcised
by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.
Romans 4:1-25; Read this chapter in your Bible.
Romans 5:1-2; 1) Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace
with God through our Lord Jesus Chist,
2)
through whom also we have access by faith into this
grace in which we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory
of God.
Romans 10:4; For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every-
one who believes.
Romans 10:8-13; 8) But what does it say? "The word is neare you, in your
mouth and in your hert: (that is, the word of faith which we
preach):
9) that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and
believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead
you will be saved.
10) For with the heart one believes unto righteousnes, and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11)
For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will
not be put to shame."
12)
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek,
for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
13) For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be
saved."
Galatians 3:26-28; 26) For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ
Jesus.
27)
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have
put on Christ.
28) There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave
nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all
one in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8; For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that
not
of yourselves; it is the gift of God;
Phillipians 3:9; and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness,
which is from the law, but that which is through faith in
Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.
2 Thessalonians 2:13; But we are bound to give thanks to God always for
you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the
beginning chose you for salvation through santification by
the
Spirit and belief in the truth,
1 Timothy 1:15-16; 15) This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance,
that
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of
whom I am chief.
16) However for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me
first
Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pat-
tern to those who are going to believe on Him for ever-
lasting life.
Hebrews 4:1-2; 1) Therefore, since a promise remains of etening His rest,
let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.
2) For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to
them; but the word which they heard did not profit them,
not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
1 Peter 1:9; recieving the end of your faith------the salvation of your souls.
SUPREME LOVE TO CHRIST SCRIPTURES
Luke 14:25-27; 25) Now geat multitudes went with Him. And He turned and
said to them
26) "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and
mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his
own life also, he cannot be My disciple.
27) And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me
cannot be my disciple.
RENUNCIATION OF THE WORLD SCRIPTURES
Matthew 19:16-21; 16) Now behold, one came and said to Him, "Good
teacher, what good thing shal I do that I may have eternal
life?"
17) So He said to him, "Why do you call e good? No one
is good but One, that is, God, But if you want to enter into
life, keep the commandments."
18)
He said to Him, "Which ones?" Jesus said, "You shall
not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not
steal, You shall not bear false witness.
19)
Honor your father and your mother, and , you shall love
your
neighbor as yourself."
20) The young man said to Him, "All these things I have kept
from my youth. What do I still lack?"
21) Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell
what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure
in heaven; and come, follow Me.
Luke 14:33; "So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has
cannot be My disciple.
Luke 18:18-26; 18) Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, "Good Teacher,
what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"
19) So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No
one is good but One, that is, God.
20) You know the commandments; Do not commit adul-
tery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness,
Honor your father and your mother."
21) and He said, "All these things, I have kept from my youth."
22) So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him,
"You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distri-
bute
to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and
come, follow Me."
23) But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he
was very rich.
24) And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He
said,
"How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the
kingdom of God!
25) "For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a
needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
26) And those who heard it said, "Who then can be saved?"
CHOICE
OF SALVATION SCRIIPTURES
Deuteronomy 30:19-20; 19) "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today
against you, that I have set before you life and death,
blessings and cursings; Therefore choose life that both
you and your descendants may live;
20) that you may love the Lord your God, that you may
obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is
your life and that you may dwell in the land which the
Lord
swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,
to give them."
Psalm 65:4 "Blessed is the man You choose, And cause to approach
You,
That he may dwell in Your courts, We shall be satis-
fied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy temple.
Ephesians 1:4-5; 4) Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of
the world, that we should be holy and without blame before
Him
in love,
5)
having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus
Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His
will.
NOT BY WORKS SCRIPTURES
Romans 3:28; Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart
from the deeds of the law.
Romans 4:1-25; 1) What then shall we say that Abraham our father has
found
according to the flesh?
2)
For if Abraham was justified by works, he has some-
thing
to boast about, but not before God.
3) For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed
God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."
4)
Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as
grace
bit as debt.
5) But
to him who does not work but believes on Him who
justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteous-
ness,
6)
Just as David also describes the blessedness of the
man to who God imputes righteousness apart from works.
7)
Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven.
And
whose sins are covered;
8) Blessed is the man to who the Lord shall not imput sin."
9) Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised
only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that
Faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness.
10) How then was it accounted? While he was circum-
cised or un circumcised? Not while circumcised, but while
uncircumcised.
11) And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the
righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircum-
cised, that he might be the father of all those who believed,
though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might
be imputed to them also,
12)
and the father of circumcision to those who not only
are of circumcision , but who also walk in the steps of the
faith which our father Abraham had while still uncircum-
cised.
13) For the promise that he would be the heir of the world
was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but
through
the righteousness of faith.
14) For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made
void and the promise made of no effect,
15) because the law brings about wrath; for where there
is no law there is no transgression.
16)
Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to
grace, so that the promise might be ure to all the seed,
not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who
are of the faith of Abraham, whos is the father of us all
17) (as it is written, "I have made you a father of many
nations") in the presence of Him who he believed------
God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things
which do not exsist as though they did;
18) who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he
became the father of many nations, accordingly to what
was spoken, "So shall your descendants be."
19)
And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his
own
body, already dead (since he was about a hundred
years old), and the deadness of Sarahs womb.
20) He did not waver at the promise of God through un-
belief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.
21) and being fully convinced that what He had promised,
He was also able to perform.
22) And therefore, "it was accounted to him for righteous-
ness."
23) Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was
imputed to him,
24) but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe
in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead.
25) who was delivered up because of our offenses, and
was raised because of our justification.
Romans 9:30-33; 30) What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not
pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness,
even the righteousness of faith.
31) but israel, pursueing the law of righteousness, has
not attained to the law of righteousness.
32)
Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as
it were, by the works of the law. For they stumbled at
that stumbling stone.
33) As it is written: "Behold I lay in Zion a stumbling
stone
and rock of offense, and whoever believes on Him
will
not be put to shame."
Romans 11:6; And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise
grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no long-
er
grace; otherwise work is no longer work.
Galatians 2:16; knowing that a man is not jutified by the works of the law
but by faith in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by
faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the
works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
Ephesians 2:8-9; 8) For by grace we have been saved through faith, and
that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9) not of works, lest anyone should boast.
2 Timothy 1:9-10; 9) Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling
not according to our works, but according to His own
purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus
before time began,
10)
but has now been revealed by the appearing of our
Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and
brought
life and immortality to light through the gospel,
Titus 3:5-7; 5) "not by works of righteousness which
we have done,
but according to His mercy He saved us, through the
washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
6) whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus
Christ our Savior,
7) that having been justified by His grace we should be-
come heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
