DAVID
CELEBRATES TRUTH
This lesson is about David as he discovers the truth about faith.
We all have to come to the place where we realize that we have to have faith in
God.
That without faith we will be condemned to hell for eternity.
We need to be part of Gods family in order to live in heaven for eternity with the
Lord.
That we desperately need the Lord in our lives and that we trust Him with every
thing.
Romans 4:5 says; But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justi-
fies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.
What Paul is talking about is working in the law.
It doesn't matter how much you work in the law if you don't have faith in God.
You can follow all the rituals of the church it will do us no good.
We must have faith is Jesus Christ and know that He is Gods only Son.
Ejphesians 2:8-9 says; 8. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and
not of yourselves, It is a gift of God. 9. not of works, lest anyone
should
boast.
In verse eight it tells us how and why we are saved in that manner.
God doesn't want anyone being able to boast about their works in the law.
For there is no good in us without giving our lives to the Lord.
By Gods grace through faith, which God gives us, we are saved.
Joshua 24:2 says; And Joshua said to all the people, "Thus says the Lord God
of Israel: Your fathers, including Terah, the father of Abraham , and the father
of Nahor, dwelt on the other side of the river in old times, and they served
other gods.
Joshua was sending the Israelites a warning not to do what their forefathers had
done.
Our God is a jealous God and when we put others before Him the anger grows.
Tlhere is only one true God.
All other gods are false gods.
There are many different things that we treat like a god in this day and age.
Money, cars, power, earthly family, children, husbands/wives and the list can go
on and on.
God has to be first in our lives.
Anything that we put before Him we are treating like a god..
Know in your hearts that you need God in your life.
Without God in your life you only have things and things will never truly make you
happy.
The blessings from God are things money can't buy.
Love, faith, hope, peace, and joy are what God will fill our hearts with.
Romans 4:6 says; just as David also describes blessedness of the man to whom
God imputes righteousness apart from works.
Davids heart was all for God.
David danced and sang before the Lord.
David like, every man, woman, and child, was not without sin.
But he loved the Lord and repented for his sins.
David sought God in all things.
He depended on God to show him the way to rule the country.
Many mocdked David but he didn't care, he went on about his business praising
and worshiping the Lord.
But David knew that he needed God and followed in Gods ways.
We all need to take a close look at Davids life and see how he glorified the Lord.
Then we should model our lives to the ways David worshiped the Lord.
Psalms 32:1-2 says; 1. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose
sin is covered. 2. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute ini-
quity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
The first verse David is telling the people what God had revealed to him.
That God will take away transgressions that we have done against God.
That all of our sins have been taken from us as long as we have faith in God.
God will justify us and make us righteous if we have faith in Him.
The second verse talks about how blessed we are that God does not charge us
for our iniquities.
When you have deceit in your heart you are working in the enemyies camp.
We don't want to deceive anyone because we will be accountable for their lost
souls.
Romans 4:7 says; Blessed are those lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose
sins are covered.
The lawless deeds are the breaking of Gods laws.
When you ask Jesus into your life all has been forgiven.
There are no more sins because God has justified you and made you righteous.
It always amazes me how faithful God is to his children.
And most of the time we are not faithful to Him.
Romans 4:8 says; Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.
God will not hold sin against us as long as we have a heart for God.
We do have to repent, turn away, from our sins.
To ask God daily for forgiveness.
The scriptures I used for this lesson are: Romans 4:5-8, Ephessians 2:8-9,
Joshua 24:2, Psalms 32:1-2.
My prayer is that who ever reads this lesson, the Lord gave me, will come to
know the Lord better through every lesson. That you will seek Him daily and
turn away from your sins.
God bless you and your family, may the Lord keep you close to Him.
PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
THAT LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS.
