SALVATION PART TWO
This will be shorter than Part one. As I studied the scriptures this one breaks
down into two messeges.
The first messege is Called To. I was over welmed by the scriptures but as I
read them it is an important part of salvation.
The second part is Salvation Belonggs To God. I've been studying those
scriptures also. All I can say is that God will give me the wisdom to under stand
all that He has to say about it.
Salvation starts with asking Jesus Christ to be Lord of your life. But there is
more to it than that.
I know I said it befor but if your heart was truly seeking salvation your life has
changed.
People you have known will not see you as the same person. Some may
even walk away from you.
But hang in there. The Lord will send in new friends . Ones that will lift you
up if you are struggling..
Remember God wants only the best for His children.
Tlhe enemy will come in to discourage you. Make sure you have someone
you can talk to. I have been there and know that it is very important to not listen
to the enemy try to take you back.
Keep praying and asking God for the wisdom to understand. It takes time but
God will be there with you to help in all situations.
There is not a Cristian any where that can say they understand all about God.
Every Christian has struggled at one time or another. Some more than others.
I have had my share of feeling inadaquit. Falling down and getting back up
again. But a little wiser than when I fell with the struggle.
Okay lets get started with the second part of salvation.
CALLED TO
God calls all of us to salvation. It takes some of us longer to finally admit we
can't do this life on our own. That there is a God with all the power and is in con-
trol.
His power is beyond any power on earth. Most certainly God can put down
Satan himself any time He wants.
Satan knows he has already been defeated. So now he wants to take as
many to hell with him as he can get to listen to his lies.
One of the scriptures that pulled the Called To gether is in Acts. Paul wrote
most of the New Testament. Before God got hold of Paul he was a hater of the
Israelites. Paul killed thousands of Jewish people. Then one day God got hold of
him and Paul saw the light. He was never the same again. Paul wrote most of
the New Testament from prison through letters to the churches.
One of the scriptures that pulled the Called To together is the one in Acts.
In my minds eye I could vision that chapter. Paul and Sileas were in prison.
They were chained to the wall. They had been beaten. They were hungry. They
were cold.
Instead of complaining and saying how life was so unfair, that they had done
nothing wrong they started singing praises to the Lord for all of their blessings.
God put the guard to sleep. Then He broke the chains so they could move
around. The doors came open and they could have left.
They stayed in that prison cell. When the guard woke he pulled his sword to
kill himself because by the prisoners escaping it meant his death anyway. Paul
yelled out don't do that we are here.
The guard went to Paul and asked how he could be saved. Paul told him to
believe in Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that God reserrected Him from the
dead. That he and his household would be saved.
That guard took Paul and Silas out of prison himself and took them to his
house. He cleaned their wounds, clothed them, and brought food to the table for
them.
Paul told him and his household of the Gospel of Christ and they were all
saved that night. They all danced and praised the Lord.
There is no telling how long God had been trying to get hold of that guard. It
took something spactacular for him to see Gods power. It is kind of sad that we
are all like that guard. It takes something in our lives that can only be solved by
God Himself.
God doesn't want anyone to go to hell. He goes to great lengths to get our
attention.
God made hell for Satan and the fallen angels. It was not suppose to be for
man kind. Man was not suppose to spend eternity in hell. That is what His
kingdom was for.
Is God calling you right now. If you don't answer He doesn't force Himself on
on you. But He will try again. How many times I don't know but I do know this
that your life could end at any time. If you do not choose life before your life ends
it is too late.
God sees all, knows what is going to happen before it happens. God is there
for all of us. He knows what we will need and when we will need it. Is He calling
you all you have to do is cry out to Him and salvation is yours if your heart is
right.
Just like that guard. There is no telling how many times God tried to get the
guards attention. But when the guard saw the power of God there was no run-
ning or hiding from God. Where can you hide? Where can you run that God
won't see you?
In the Old Testament the prophets told of the coming of the Lord to save the
world.
God calls all of us but it is our choice. We can't live and serve God and serve
the things of this world. We are either for or against God. There is no middle
ground. When you do that it is called sitting on the fence.
We have to put God first in our lives and everything else will fall into place.
Family, work, and so on. God really does want the best for His children.
Somethimes we don't understand why thing happen. This year has been one
of the toughest of my life. I will say my life has never been easy. But through
all that has happened I know that God is with me. Even when I got angry with
Him for taking my husband home and leaving me alone.
We tend to think of ourselves a lot. I was truly being selfish. I know that I have
things that need to be done before God will call me home and I am honored to
serve Him.
Think about your life. How many times has someone witnessed to you about
the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord and savior? Why do you think we talked to
you? You know it was no accident that we spoke to you about the Lord. As a
matter of fact He was probably the one putting the words in our mouths.
Just as when I write these studies it is the Holy Spirit living in me doing the
actual words. I am just letting Him work through me. It is truly an honor letting
Him work through me.
That is not to say everyone can do what I do. Writing is the gift He has given
me to serve Him. But that is another lesson altogether. He gives us all gifts to
serve Him.
Has anything ever happened to you that the doctors are amazed that you are
still breathing, walking and talking normal?
The doctors have told me five times that I should not have lived through some-
thing but here I am. Some of those times God was trying to get me to seek Him.
If I had comtinued to ignore Hime there may have come a time that it would have
been too late and I did stop breathing.
Other times it has been to witness to others like doctors and nurses that there
is a power greater than their eduction. I have actually had a doctor walk out of the
hospital room mad as a hornet because I said that God took care of the problem
before I went in for the surgery. He kept insisting that the tests had been wrong.
My question to him was all five tests were wrong? He could not answer that so
he just left.
God was trying to reach that doctor but as far as I know he didn't listen.. But
who knows but God . Maybe he did and I will see him in heaven when God calls
me home.
You have the choice life through Jesus Christ or death without Him. Heaven or
hell. My choice is life and a promise of a home in heaven with my Lord and savior
Jesus Christ.
Yes, there are responsibilities when you choose life. It is truly awesome
serving the Lord. It is no sacrifice. It is an honor serving Him. The freedom from
all my sins is a feeling that I would not trade for all the money in the world.
Just think about your life, how it has been. You will see many times that the
Lord has reached out for you. You were drowning in your sins and didn't even
realize it.
None of us know how long we will live. So if you have not chosen life, I pray,
that you will make the right choice and live in Gods kingdom for all of eternity.
The alternitive is hell and I don't want to see anyone to go there. I don't want any-
one to loose out on Gods kingdom because they waited too long.
SALVATION BELONGS TO GOD
In the beginning there was nothing. But God spoke everthing into exsistance.
Therefore everything belongs to God.
The light, stars, moon, sun, all plants, trees, and animals. It was all good.
So it makes sence that all good things belong to God.
Now man He tok and made us with clay and breathed His breathe of likfe into
us. That in itself tells us just how much He loves us. He loves us. He has the
power to speak us into exsistance, but did not choose to do that.
Everything was perfect until Adam and Eve let Satan deceive them into eating
the fruit from the tree of knowledge. This sin was bought into the world. It is in
our nature now.
Innocent as a new born baby is it has the nature in it to sin. The only thing
is that they don't sin knowing that it is what they are doing.
How many times has every parent told their child, don't touch the coffee pot it
hot. Yet there are thousands of children every year that are seriously burned be-
cause they just could not resist touching the coffee pot and it pours down the
front of that child. Yes a sin because they were being disobediant and did just
what mom and dad said not to do.
Of course God would not send a child to hell because at that age they have no
idea what sin is.,
So Gods plan for salvation belongs to Him. He had to have a way to be able
to judge us in the ways we lived our lives.
If God sees that we really don't want to change the way we are living then He
will not give you the gift of salvation.
Everything good in your life is a gift from God. Your family, jobs, house, food
on the table, and so on. All those things belong to God. He gives you those
things even if you are continuing to live in sin. Why? Because He loves you !!!
Now if He sees that in your hearts you truly desire to give up the sinful way
you are living He is more than willing to give you His gift of salvation. He is cele-
brating you becoming part of His family.
God sets you free from your sins and they are forgiven, Actually they are for-
gotten. So from that day forward, the way you live your life is what counts.
B8ut I warn you don't straddle the fence so to speak. You must turn away
from your old ways and learn through Gods word how we need to live. We need
to glorify God in all that we do.
You can not give God half of your week and the rest of the week live in the
ways of the world.
The thing is with salvation Gods Spirit enters you and joins with your spirit.
He will direct you through your spirit.
Don't let someone else tell you where you should be with you walk in the Lord.
He teaches us what we need to know at the time. Not everyone is learning the
same thing that you are. It doesn't hurt to share with brothers and sisters in the
Lord what you have learned. It may be what they needed to hear at that time in
their life.
The longer you've been walking with the Lord the more He will expect from
you. But that only makes sense. The longer you have been on a job the more
the boss expects from you because you know more than someone who just got
hired the day before.
Your salvation is a very personal thing between you and the Lord. Don't let
anyone discourage you. You may stunble and fall but get back up and get back
on the right track.
God will never give you more than yoou can handle. The more you get to
know the Lord you will come to realize that asking Jesus into your hearts is the
beginning of a wonderful journey with your Lord Jesus Christ, your Savior.
As time goes by you will want to serve Him more. But until you are ready He
will just be teaching you. Don't get in a big hurry and run ahead of the Lord. He
is not in a big hurry to send you out to face the giant. God had prepared David
for that task.
He will teach you through others who have been where you are in your walk
with the Lord. Sometimes it will be through His Word. But it may also be just
through a situation that you are going through as you are walking with the Lord.
Some are hard lessons. Others are easier and more enjoyable. In the end
you will be glad and thankful that the Lord has been with you the whole time.
You will not want to give up any of His teaching hard or easy. You will be thank-
ful for both.
God wants only the best puality of life for His children. It doesn't mean you
will have a lot of money. You will find love, peace, joy and hope that you have
been looking for in the world but never could find it there. The emptiness you felt
on the inside will be filled with the Holy Spirit. You will never regret asking Jesus
to be the Lord of your life.
My prayers are with all who read this. That you will start your journey with
the Lord soon. I want to see you all in person when the Lord calls us home.
PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT

WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS
