OUR PEACE
Have you ever wondered how some people seem to be completely at
peace no matter what is going on around them?
They have Jesus in their hearts, Christ Jesus is our peace.
Ephesians 2:14 says; For He Himself is over peace, who has made
both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation.
Paul is talking about an actual wall built in the court of the temple.
The Jewish people put up a wall in the court of the temple.
They placed a sign by the wall that any Gentile caught crossing the
wall would be brought to a quick death.
Ephesians 2:15 says; having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that
is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to
create in Himself one new man from the two thus making peace.
Paul is not saying that God had changed the righteous laws or the
past.
He was saying that not one could reach the rightiousness on their
own.
Christ Jesus is our righteousness; in Him believers reach and fulfill the
laws.
Matthew 5:17 says; Do you think that I came to destroy the Law or
the prophets: I did not come to destroy but to fulfill
Jesus is saying that He came to earth because in the Old testiment
there were many prophets that prophesied the coming of Christ.
With the coming of Christ Jesus the old covenant ended when Jesus
died on the cross the New Covenant began.
Matthew 5:20 says; For I say to you that unless your righteousness
exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Parisees you well by
no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus was saying that the Parisees were self serving and that we
must serve God and live by all th laws.
The Christian church now are made up of both Jews and Gentiles.
Jesus brought them together and made them one church for we are
both the Body of Christ.
We are the church, brothers and sisters not a building where we meet.
In the old church there were more Jews than Gentiles.
Gods Spirit, witnessed to the Gentiles amd then there were more
Gentiles than Jews.
Ephesians 2:16 says; and that He might reconcile them both to God
in one body through the cross thereby putting to death the
enmity.
You see Jesus is our peace.
In our spirit, mind, and soul but only if we are in Gods will.
Ephesians 2:17-18 says; and He came and preached peace to you
who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him
we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
Praise God for He gave His only begotten Son so we will have ever
lasting life for who so ever wll believe that Jesus is Gods Son.
Through Jesus we do have peace as long as we keep our eyes on His,
walk in His wys, and seek, Praise, and worship Him all the days of
our lives.
Seek Gods will in all things for He knows what is good for us better
than we know ourselves..
The scriptures I used in this word the Lord gave me are:
Ephesians 2:14-18, Matthew 5:17, 5:20, Romans 3:21-22, 3:31, 6:6,
Isaiah 9:6, Galatians 6:15, Colossians 1:20-22, Acts 10, John 10:9,
1 Corinthians 12:13.
I encourage each of you to read these scriptures and see what God
reveals to you.
My prayer is that who ever reads these words, the Lord gave me, will
seek the Lord more. Keep your eyes on Him so His peace is
always with you. If you turn to the world your peace will vanish.
The world only has confussion to offer you.
