                                   LIVE BY FAITH

Without faith in God we have only what the world has to offer.

God gives us all faith the size of a mustard seed.

But as you grow in Christ your faith will also grow.

We are in the end of days and in order to get through the hard times ahead we
will need to have a strong faith.

Faith in God that is unshakable.

Now lets see what Paul has to say about faith.

Romans 1:16 says;  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the
power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jews first and also
     the Greeks.

The New testament speaks of salvation in the past, present, and future.

Paul speaks that he is not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ.

For if  we are ashamed of the Gospel of Christ God will be ashamed of us.

There will be no salvation for those that are ashamed of God.

Ephesians 2:8 says;  For by grace you have been saved through faith and that
not of yourself it is the gift of God.

In this verse Paul is speaking of salvation in the past tense.

You can't acheive salvation of yourself or works, it is the gift of God.

2 Corinthians 2:15 says;  For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those
who are being saved and among those who are perishing.

This verse is showing salvation in the present tence.

In the present tence the believers are being protected form the power of sin.

In the past from the penalty of sin.

In the future the believer will be protected from the presence of sin.

Here are some more scriptures to read and learn more about salvation;
     Matthew 5:10-12,  8:17,  2 Corinthians 5:10,  2 Timothy 2:11-13,
     Revalation 22:12.

Psalms 40:9-10 says;  I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness.  In the
great assembly,  Indeed, I do not restrain my lips, O Lord, You Yourself know
I have not hidden Your righteous within my heart.  I have declared Your faith-
fulness and Your salvation;  I have not concealed Your loving kindness and
Your truth.  From the great assembly.

The psalmist is praying/worshipping God.

He has told of Gods greatness.

He has told of the righteousness through the Lord.

He tells of what is in his heart that comes from God, Gods rihteousness.

He goes on to tell about all that God had done for us, Gods faithfulness and
     salvation.

We should learn from these verses.

To tell the truth about all things that God does for us.

The blessings that come straight from heaven.

From our heavenly Father that loves each and everyone of us.

1 Corinthians 1:8 says;  For the message of the cross is foolishness to those
who are perishing but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

The message of the cross is the death and resurrection of Christ for our sins.

The ones that live only for self the sacrifice made sounds rediculous.

But for those who come to the Lord humbly it is a power that saves them from
     death to everlasting life.

The love, joy, compassion, and hope that the Lord fills us with will never fade.

The blessings the Lord givres us fills us with a passion to serve the Lord.

That is why Paul had no problem serving the Lord.

His passion was for Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Acts 3:26 says;  To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him
to bless you, in turning away everyone of you from your iniquities.

This verse is talking about when God resurrected Jesus from the dead.

After Jesus ascented to heaven He sent the Holy Spirit to protect us against the
     powers of sin.

The Holy Spirit  entered all of the believers in the upper room.

They no longer wanted to sin against God.

Their lives were changed forever.

Ever since that time all believers should seek to be baptised in the Holy Spirit.

The Spirit enters us at the time we ask Jesus into our hearts.

But the baptism of the Holy Spirit is what the believers received in the upper room

Romans 1:17 says;  For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to
faith as it is written,  "The just shall live by faith."

When Paul says from faith to faith what he means is we have faith to begin with
     for our salvation.

When we first use our faith we are saved and we are no longer dead in our sins
but we have become righteous through Jesus Christ.

In our daily walk with the Lord we are walking in faith.

When the storms of our lives come we live through them by faith.

Our faith grows along with our relationship with the Lord.

God continues to protect us from the power of sin.

As long as we walk in the will of the Lord, He will supply all of our needs.

Romans 3:21 says;  But  now the righteousness of God apart from the law is
revealed, being witnessed by the Law; and the Prophets.

The righteousness of God is not the same as the religious laws.

In this verse it shows that Gods Law is above all of mans laws.

God declares sinner righteousness.

Our God is so in love with us that we have been forgiven and with one drop of
blood from Jesus, has made us white as sonow and righteous.

We must know Gods word and follow His ways and do His biding when He asks
     us to do something.

Romans 9:30 says;  What shall we say then?  Gentiles, who did not pursue
righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of
     faith.

Israel had the law and prusued righteousness, but they didn't receive it.

They were so busy doing works that they forgot where their hearts should be.

Basically they did not believe.

Until we have the Lord in our hearts, minds, and souls we won't obtain the right-
eousness that the Lord wants to give us.

We can't earn righteousness through works.

It is a gift when our hearts are right.

Habakkuk 2:4 says;  "Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him;  But the
just shall live by his faith.

The proud where te people of babylon.

They had no reguard for God.

They bragged about their power and their victories.

Their souls were not for God.

Therefore their souls were not upright.

They reguarded Gods laws as nonsence, as they did with the commandments.

Gods people will live by the faith they have in God.

If your heart is filled with the word of God, indeed God will give the righteousness
     to you.

The same goes for us in this day and age.

If we are proud and brag about how we are this or that, pride will keep you from
     God.

Give God all the honor, praise, worship, and love that He is worthy of and your life
     will change.

Fill your heart, mind, and soul with only Godly things.

Stay in His word and you will live a blessed life and you will bless others when
you allow God to work through you.

The scriptures I used for this lesson are:  Romans 1:16-17,  3:21.  9:30, Acts3:26
     Psalms 40:9-10,  1 Corinthians 1:18,  1:24,  Habakkuk 2:40,  Ephesians 2:8,
     2 Corinthians 2:15,  13:11,  5:10,  Matthew 5:10-12,  8:17,  2 Timothy 2:11-13
     Revolations 22:`12.

The thing that is so improtant about this lesson is without faith we would have no-
     thing.

God gives all of us faith.

Now it is our choice to use that faith on things of this world or to put our faith in
     God.

As for me and my household we will give our faith in the Godly things.

I hope you will make the same choice.

My prayer is that who ever reads this lesson, the Lord gave me, will see the
importance of this lesson on Faith.  That you will read all of the scriptures that
I used in the lesson.  That they would go from your minds to your hearts.
That you will share these truths with many who don't understand.  Show
others how God blesses those who are faithful to Him.

God bless you and your family, may the Lord keep you close to Him.

PRAISE GOD OUR FATHER, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
     THAT LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS.
