UNRIGHTEOUSNESS
This lesson will be on Gods wrath on unrighteousness.
A lesson that we all, I am including myself, need to pay close attention to.
In no way do I want to be an enemy of God.
I hope that you feel the same.
Romans 1:18 says; For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unright-
iousness.
Suppress means: 1. To put down by authority or force.
2.
To keep secret.
3. To keep from public knowledge.
This verse is talking about God being angry about those who suppress the word
of God.
Too many people don't know the truth about God.
Those who do know that keep it a secret for them to hold on for themselves.
Too many only tell half truths and leave the other half untold.
The evil one doesn't want the whole truth to be spread from state to state and
country to country.
The word of God must be heard by all the people.
Acts 17:30 says; Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now com-
mands all men everywhere to repent,
This verse is when Paul went to Athens.
The people knew nothing about God or His Son Jesus Christ.
Paul had a way to speak that got everyones attention.
Paul looked for something they could understand and then compared it to God.
Thus many came to the Lord and concidered Him their Savior.
God had declared that all men must know the word of God and repent for their
sins.
Even today we must repent daily for those things we might not even realize we
have done.
2 Thessalonians 2:10 says; and with unrighteousness deception among those
who parish, because they do not receive the love of truth, that they might be
saved.
The enemy is there to deceive those who do not know the word of God.
Therefore when they do hear the truth they think it is a lie.
We need to pray for those who have been deceived by the evil one.
They are walking dead men in their sin.
If only they knew the truth.
It is up to us to get the good news about Jesus Christ out to those who don't
know Him as their Lord and Savior.
We must step out in boldness to speak about the Gospel of Christ.
We must love the truth.
Jesus is the truth, light, and the way.
Romans 1:19 says; Because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for
God has shown it to them.
What God knows is in humanity but also in material things as well.
Like nature itself trees, flowers, mountains, all are His creation.
In Gods word we can learn much.
Acts 14:7 says; And they were preaching the gospel there.
Many times when the Gospel of Christ is preached you will find trouble among
those who don't believe.
It is the same way today.
Whether you witness to one or many, sometimes they just won't listen.
That is what happened with Paul.
So they moved on to an area that would listen to the Gospel of Christ.
I have been called all sort of names but just move on to someone that wants to
know the truth.
When someone won't listen don't get discouraged just go on to others.
There are many searching for the truth.
Pray for those who wouldn't listen.
Think of it this way you at least planted a seed and one day it may grow and
they will seek the truth.
Acts 14:17 says; Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that
He did good, gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful season filling out hearts
with food and gladness.
Paul spoke to the Gentiles so they would understand.
He told them that God gave us rain so we would have good crops to feed their
families.
Then Paul talked about the joy that fills our hearts.
Paul preached the truths and the Gentiles came to know the Lord.
Acts 17:24 says; God who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord
of the heavens and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.
All God had to do was speak things into exsistance, so He has no need of any-
thing that we build.
When Jesus ascented to heaven He left the Holy Spirit here for the believers.
But the Spirit didn't go to a building.
The Holy Spirit went into the believers to lead us in the ways of the Lord.
That makes us the Church not some building.
We go to a building to worship the Lord.
Man has drummed into our heads that we go to church.
But in reality you and I are the church.
The temple for the Holy Spirit.
John 1:9 says; That was the true light which gives light to every man coming into
the world.
The light means Jesus.
Jesus is the light, truth, and the way in order for us to enter Gods Kingdom.
The light is bright enough to fill all men who come into the world.
Jesus came to the earth as a man in order to reveal the truth to the people.
Depending on the verse when they use the world it could mean : 1. earth
2. humanity
3.
universe
4. The human
system oppo-
sed to God.
In this verse it is talking about the earth.
Romans 1:20 says; For since the creation of the world His invesable attibutes
are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His
eternal power and Godhead so that they are without excuses.
Gods invisible attributes are His eternal power and Godhead.
His devine nature can be seen in all of creation.
Everything from man to ants.
Look at how the flowers seem to be and look close.
So delicate compared to the pine tree.
The way man himeself works, all the body parts working together, internal and
external.
We are no more like a monkey than there is a man on the moon eating green
cheese.
Look at the fish, they can breqthe under water.
Every living thing all the parts work together.
Only God can put things, living things, so their parts all work together to make it
perfect, and all things work together.
Everything stays in balance, and everything has a purpose.
Psalms 19:1-6 says; 1. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firma-
ment shows His handy work. 2. Day unto day utters speech, and night re-
veals knowledge. 3. There is no speech or language where their voice in not
heard. 4. Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the
end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun, 5. which is
like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoices like a strong man
to run its race. 6. Its rising is from one end of heaven, and its circuit to the
other end; and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
The word firmament is another word for heaven.
Gods creation shows His glory and Majesty.
The craftsmanship of Gods creation can't be duplicated.
Man used to think of the sun as a god.
In these verses the sun symbolizes the one and only God All Mighty.
There is nothing more powerful than our Heavenly Father.
Everything in the heavens, earth, and under the earth testifies of the goodness
and power of our God.
When they refer to the bridegroom they are saying it is like a celebration to the
Creator.
Romans 1:21 says; Because although they knew God, they did not glorify Him
as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their fool-
ish hearts were darkened.
These words in this verse shows just how foolish man can be.
God sends His servant to spread the Gospel of Christ.
They tell of the love that He has for them yet they chose to turn from God.
When everything that is good testifies to how much God loves us, they still turn
away.
God gave us the rain and rich soil so that we could grow a wide variety of food to
to feed our families.
We don't take of what God gives us and ruin it by stripping the land of the trees
so the rich soil washes away.
Man seems to think they know more than God.
Too many are selfserving and don't care about anyone or anything but themself.
Jeremiah 2:5 says; Thus says the Lord, "What injustice have your fathers found
in Me. That they have gone far from Me. Have followed idols, and have be-
come idolaters?
Idols means: Futility, vapor, worthlessness.
Anything that we put before God is an idol.
Back in the time of Jeremiah they had many false gods.
It has not changed throughout the ages.
Today there are those that still make statues and worship them.
But we are so greedy we never have enough.
More things which amount to nothing.
The spiritual things God offers us are worth so much more.
There is no amount of money I would trade for the love God gives me.
The ones that serve idols which are vapor will themselves become vapor.
They will be condemned to hell for eternity.
Romans 1:22 says; Professing to be wise, they become fools.
Those who claim to be smart but know nothing about God are fools.
They take the things of the world and have much knowledge about them.
What good is all that knowledge when you take your last breath on the earth you
will end up in hell for eternity?
But if you seek the Lord and the knowledge of Gods Kingdom you will have life
ever lasting in the Kingdom of God.
The knowledge of Gods laws and living in the ways of the Lord are what count.
To glorify the Lord in all that you do.
To put God first before everything you will receive Gods wisdom you only have to
ask.
Jeremiah 10:14 says; Everyone is dull-hearted without knowledge; Every metal-
smith is put to shame by an image; For his molded image is falsehood, and
there is no breath in them.
The only true knowledge is in God.
The metalsmith knows his trade but builds objects to worship but they are fool-
ishness.
The statue may be beautiful but there is no life in it.
They are futile and of no us completely false.
They make fools of themselves by making the useless objects.
God has no use for those who seek such foolishness.
Romans 1:23 says; and change the glory of the incorruptible God into an image
made like corruptible man-and birds and 4 footed animals and creeping
things.
This verse is talking about idols that were made to worship.
When we worship anything but the one true God, for there is only one God, we
create corrupt things.
But the true God is incorruptible.
False gods will corrupt Gods children and God will not stand still for that.
1 Timothy 1:17 says; Now to the King eternal immortal, invisible, to God who
alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen
The King is Jesus who is alive and over all things in the heavens, earth, and be-
low the earth.
The only wisdom is Gods wisdom.
Our creator is wise and man has only foolishness.
When we seek God for wisdom we receive true wisdom.
Any where else that we seek wisdom is only the worlds version of wisdom.
1 Timothy 6:15-16 says; 15. which He will manifest in His own time, He who is
the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lord, 16. who
alone has immorality, develling in unapproachable light, whom no man has
seen or can see, to Him be honor and everlasting power, Amen
Manifest means: To make evident or certain by showing or displaying.
Potenate means: One who yeilds controlling power.
Doxology means: To praise God.
This scripture talks about God manifesting Jesus to return to earth in His timing.
Jesus told the deciples that He would return but only the Father knows the time
of His return.
The last part of this scripture is talking about praising the Lord.
Immortality in this verse means without death.
Jesus is God so He will never die.
Deuteronomy 4:16-19 says; 16. Lest you act corrupt and make for yourself a
carved image in the form of any figure; the likeness of male or female, 17. the
likeness of any animal that is on earth or or the likeness of any winged bird
that flies in the air, 18. The likeness of anything that creeps on the ground or
or the likeness of any fish that is in the water beneath the earth. 19. And
take heed, lest you lift you eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, the
moon, and the stars all the hosts of heaven; you feel driven to worship them
and serve them, which the Lord your God has given to all the peoples under
the whole heaven as a heritage.
We have no idea what God looks like so we should never make a statue of God.
God is warning the people not to build a statue of a man nor a woman to wor-
ship.
God also warns against worshipping animals, birds, things that creep, fish, and
the heavenlies the sun, moon and stars.
God created all these things for the people to enjoy.
None of them are worthy of our worship and praise.
These things are all idols and those who look to them as a god and are unright-
eous and will parish, and so will those who worship them.
All the beautiful things in the world God created for every person born on the
earth to enjoy.
The only way we can find righteousness is through Jesus Christ our Lord and
Savior.
Romans 1:24 says; Therefore God always gave them up to uncleanness in the
lust of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves.
This verse is a strong warning to those not living in the ways of the Lord.
God didn't give up on us completely but allowed us to sink deeper into sin.
In the hope that we will turn to Him.
We were all at our lowest point in our lives before we turned to God.
God wants us to see how wicked sin truly is.
But if we don't turn away from our sins and turn to God we will be condemned to
hell for eternity.
Ephesians 4: 18-19 says; 18. having their understanding dardened, being alien-
ated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because
of the blindness of their hearts; 19. who being past feeling, have given them-
selves over to lewdness to work all uncleanness with greediness.
These verses are talking about the hearts, of those who are filled with evil things,
their hearts have hardened.
The sin in their lives no longer matters.
The sins have blinded them, and they are deaf and can not hear the truth.
The ones that are self serving and don't have a heart for God will not enter the
kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 6:8 says; No you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do
these things to you brethren..
Paul is talking about children of God doing wrong and cheating their brethern in
Christ.
When the lost see Christians act that way, they don't see any difference in the
way everyone else acts.
We are suppose to show Gods love and compassion to others including the lost
souls.
We have to let the Lord work through us to lead the lost out of the darkness into
the light.
1 Corinthians 4:18 says; Now some are puffed up, as though I were not coming
to you.
Some of the teachers were causing a division in the church.
They didn't think that Paul was ever coming back.
They thought that they wouldn't have to be accountable for what they were teach-
ing.
Paul was returning, but even if Paul didn't return they still would be held account-
able to the Lord on judgement day.
We can hide nothing from the Lord.
Leveticus 18:22 says; You shall not lie with a male as with a woman, It is an
abomination.
This scripture is speaking of homosexuality.
The world may say homosexuality is an acceptable life style, but it is absolutely
not with God.
God conciders it a wicked behavior and you will be condemned to hell if you
practise this life style.
Go to the Lord in prayer and ask Him to help you to turn away from that life style.
God loves you and will help you.
He doesn't want anyone to parish in hell so ask and He will surely help you.
Romans 1:25 says: who exchange the truth of God for the lie, and worship and
serve the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen
The lie refers to idols.
It is foolish and unrighteous behavior.
In these days God is gathering his children together and preparing us for the days
ahead.
We must reach out to those who are living in the darkness of the world and the
lies the world is teaching
Gods children will have ever lasting life.
1 Thessalonians :9 says; For they themselves declare concerning us what
manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to
serve the living and true God.
Paul had heard from travelers on how the Thessalonians had turned to God and
away from the idols.
Paul was truly blessed by the reports he had heard.
They had come out of the darkness to the light.
The truths of the Gospel of Christ had shown them the lies of the idols that they
had been worshiping.
It is written the truth shall set you free.
We are indeed free when we ask Jesus into our hearts.
We are set free of all of our sins and evil ways.
Isaiah 44:20 says; He feeds on ashes; A deceived heart has turned him aside;
And he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, "Is there not a lie in my right hand?"
This verse is about those who live by the lies of the evil one.
Their hearts are hardened and they do not receive the truth.
They are deceived in all things about God.
We have to turn to God to deliver our souls.
We cannot do it on our own.
Only through Jesus Christ can we be saved.
Romans 1:26 says; For this reason God gave them up to vile passion. For even
their wormen exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.
This verse is speaking of lesbianism which is against nature.
To God this is a wicked vile pratice.
This is a stern warning, for you will parish if you are involved in lesbianism.
You must repent, ask forgiveness, and give your heart to Jesus.
It may be acceptable according to the world, and according to Satan, but it is not
something God will put up with.
Romans 1:27 says; Like wise also the men leaving the natural use of the woman,
burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shame-
ful, and receiving in themselves the penality of their error which was due.
This verse too is refering to homosexuality between men.
God will condemn those to hell who are guilty of this sin.
Like Sodom and Gomorrah that God distroyed because of the sin of homosex-
uality and lesbianism.
They died in their sins and were sent to hell for eternity.
Romans 1:28 says; And even as they did not like to retain God in their know-
ledge, God gave them over to a debased mind to do those things which are
not fitting.;
God loves those who are His enemies.
But when they don't seek God and His knowledge He allows them to sink deeper
into sin.
In the hope that one day they will see their ways are evil and wicked and the way
of Satan.
When they realize how much God loves them they will come out of the darkness
and into the the light, and into the ways of the Lord.
But if they don't God is just and He would have to condemn them to hell even
though He loves them.
Ephesians 5:4 says; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting,
which are not fitting but rather giving of thanks.
God wants all the people of the world to turn from the ways of the world.
To give thanks to God for all of their blessings.
To realize that God is in control and that He loves them very much.
To change their mind sets to Gods way not the ways of the enemy (world).
To get to know Him through the scriptures and have an intimate relationship with
Him.
Romans 1:29-31 says; 29. Being filled with unrighteousness, sexual immorality,
wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit,
evil-mindedness; they are whispers, 30. backbiters, haters of God, violent,
proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobediant to parents, 31. undis-
cerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;
This is the longest list in all the scriptures of the sins.
We will go through each sin, and do a check of yourself and see if you are prac-
ticing any of them.
Then repent and ask for forgiveness, and not turning back to your old ways.
1. sexual immorality: homosexuality, lesbianism, adultry, sexual relations be-
fore marriage.
2. wickedness: causing or likely to cause harm, distress, or trouble.
3. covetousness: marked by inordinate desire for wealth or possessions or for
anothers position and also power.
4. maliciousness: willful wanton or reckless damage to or destruction of another
persons property.
5. envy: resentful of anothes success and wanting it for yourself.
6. murder: To kill another in anger, to have an abortion is also murder.
7. strife: a bitter sometimes violent conflict or dessension. Also exertion or con-
tention for superiority. To cause confussion.
8. deceit: misleading someone by saying it as truth but you know it is a lie.
9. evilmindedness: thinking of things and plotting things that bring sorrow, dis-
tress or clamity; suffering, misfortune and wrong doing. To plot against some-
one, whisper in darkness so no one can see what they are doing.
10.back biters: To talk behind someones back to discredit their charactor. Gos-
sip is included in this sin.
11.God haters: Anyone who doesn't respect God for who He is. They try to dis-
credit God by saying He is a liar and doesn't love His children. They take His
name in vain. They take His word and try to make it sound like nonsence.
12.violent: Anyone with a violent temper. A husband who beats his wife and
children. Someone who will murder or hurt someone in anger.
13.proud: having or displaying excessive selfesteem. Also proud in spirit-haugh-
ty.
14.boasters: To puff oneself up in speach speak vaingloriously.
15.Inventors of evil things: Video games, movies, bombs, porn magazines. These
things, (some of them), promote the evil one.
16.disobediant to parents: When your parents tell you to do something, do it or
you will be in sin. The only thing is if they ask you to do something that is
against God don't do it.
17.undiscerning: unable to grasp and comprehend what is obscure.
18.Untrustworthy: not worthy of confidence, undependable. Also taking some-
thing that doesn't belong to you.
19.unloving: selfcentered, putting yourself before anyone or anything, only using
people for your gain and then walk away.
20.unforgiving: holding a grudge against someone. Refuse to forgive them.
21.unmerciful: unable to show compassion for others.
If you are not committing any of these sins but you condone a sin someone else
is doing you are guilty of that sin yourself.
It doesn't matter what the world says about these sins.
In Gods eyes they are sins and we must repent from them.
Romans 1:32 says; Who, knowig the righteous judgement of God, that those
who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but
also approve of those who practice them.
This verse is saying that if you are practicing these things you will be condemned
to hell for eternity.
If you don't practice them but approve of those who are, you will also be con-
demned to hell for eternity.
You are either of God or you are of the world, which means you are working for
Satan if you are of the world.
It is your choice.
I pray you will choose God.
Romans 2:2 says; But we know that the judgement of God is according to truth
against those who practice such things.
Truth in this verse refers to the true condition of humanity.
If we are working in sin, and refuse to see or hear the truths of God, you will be
condemned to hell for eternity.
But if you are seekig God, reading the scriptures, and walking in the ways of the
Lord and know Gods truths you will have ever lasting life in heaven.
Romans 6:21 says; What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are
now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
This verse is speaking of Christians.
If in life you are doing something, you know is against God, those things will
cause your death.
You can't serve God part of the time and do the things of the world too, for it will
bring death.
Hosea 7:3 says; They make a king glad with their wickedness, and princes
with their lies.
This verse is showing that kings should act differently.
They should promote justice.
They should be angry with the wikedness.
But if they are worldly kings the wickedness will make them glad.
As Christians we should also be appalled by wicked behavior and lies.
But too many Christians today say well it is just the times and that is the way it
is everyone is doing it.
Brothers and sisters get into Gods word and see what God expects of you and
change your life to Gods ways.
Time is short, we are in the last of the days, and God is beginning to seperate
those who will serve Him and those who will not serve Him.
It is time for us to be walking daily with the Lord and make sure we are in His
will.
The scriptures I used in this lesson are: Romans 1:18-32, 2:2, 6:21,
Acts 14:17, 17:24, 17:30, 1 Thessalonians 1:9, 2 Thessalonians
2:10,
John 1:9, Psalms 19:1-6, Jeremiah 2:5, 10:14, 1 Timothy 1:17,

Deuteronomy 4:16-19, Ephesians 4:18-19, 1 Corinthians 6:18, Hosea 7:3,
Leviticus 18:22, Isaiah 44:20.
My prayer is that who ever reads this lesson, the Lord gave me, will read and
study all the scriptures I used in this lesson. There is so much to learn and
to get from your mind to your heart so you won't be deceived.That your eyes
have been opened to what God considers sin. That you will search yourself
daily and if you are working in a sin repent. Ask for forgiveness and move on
and serve the Lord to glorify Him in all that you do.
