GRIEVING SPIRIT
We should not grieve our spirit.
The Holy Spirit is in us to help guide and direct us in Gods will.
When we sin we grieve the Holy Spirit.
God so wants us to be obediant.
I know as a parent I wanted my son to be obediant.
When he didn't do as he was told it grieved me.
I wasn't near as good to my son as God has been to me.
The thought of grieving Gods Spirit doesn't make me happy that is for
sure.
Ephesians 4:25 says; Therefore putting away lying, "Let each one of
you speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one
another.
Paul is quoting Zachariah to point out that Christians are as one in
Christ Jesus.
As one body we must work together and in all we do it should glorify
the Lord.
When we lie it grieves the Holy Spirit.
Proverbs 6:17 says; A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed
innocent blood,
All of these thing are hated by God.
That is also something we tell our kids don't lie to us it only gets you
in bigger trouble.
God hates a lie.
We need to watch ourselves and make sure you always speak the
truth.
Ephesians 4:26 says; "Be angry and do not sin", do not let the sun go
down on your wrath.
Anger in itself is not a sin.
But if you let your anger grow into a violent reaction it is a sin.
Or if you use foul language that is a sin also.
The longer the anger builds up in you it eats at you.
Sometimes you will seek rengeance and that is a sin too.
For the Lord says vengeance is mine.
The one you are angry at has probably forgotten all abut it.
The only one it is hurting is you making your blood pressure sky rocket
Psalms 37:8 says; Cease from anger and forsake wrath, do not fret it
only causes harm
Don't fret over anything, give it to the Lord and wait for the answer.
The thing is we need to give all things to the Lord that do not glorify
Him.
Wrath is a sin.
We must make sure that we don't let anger grow into wrath.
Ephesians 4:27 says; nor give place to the devil.
When we are angry and let it fester the enemy has a way to get into
you.
When we are working in sin our eyes are not on the Lord.
It gives the enemy a chance to get into our mind and say things that
are harmful to you.
Romans 12:19 says; Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather
give place to wrath; for is is written, "Rengeance is mine, I will
repay," says the Lord.
Christians are not to seek revengeance for we know that is for the
Lord.
We need to trust God with all things and to glorify Him in all that we
do.
Ephesians 4:28 says; Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let
him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have
something to give him who has need.
Paul is saying that not only stop taking what doesn't belong to them
but to give to those in need.
But it goes further than that.
It tells us to be generous with what we have.
To stop being greedy.
Acts 20:35 says; I have shown you in every way, by laboring like
this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of
the Lord Jesus that He said, "It is more blessed to give than to
receive."
Ephesians 4:29 says; Let no corrupt word proceeed out of your mouth
but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart
grace to the hearers.
Christians must speak only as the Lord Christ Jesus would speak.
With compassion and love, those who hear will listen and if they are
lost they might come into the light.
If we use foul language why would they even listen?
They hear that kind of language everyday.
So they don't see any difference between us and the lost souls.
Colossians 3:8 says; But now you yourselves are to put off all these:
anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your
mouths.
All of these things separate us from the worldly people.
Our attitude and the way we treat others will draw those in that are
looking for something better than the things the world is offering
them.
So the next time you think that you are going to lose it just walk
away and ask the Lord to help you with what you should say.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 says; Therefore comfort each other and edify
one another, just as you also are doing.
Paul is telling them that they must continue teaching each other
morales and how they should conduct themself.
To be good and righteous witnesses for our Lord Christ Jesus.
We have to let Jesus work through us to get it right.
On our own we will fail.
Colossians 3:16 says; Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all
wisdom, teaching, and admonishing one another in psalms and
hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the
Lord.
Paul is teaching us how to build up our spirit in this verse.
To fill our mind, heart, spirit, and soul so we will conduct ourselves
properly no matter what is going on around us.
To sing praises to the Lord as they come from our hearts and they will
bless God.
Ephesians 4:30 says; And do not greive the Holy Spirit of God, by
whom you are sealed for the day of redemption.
The Holy Spirit should never be pushed away, ignored, or rejected.
We have to be very careful what we think, watch, and do because it
is Gods Spirit within us.
But also the one unforgiveable sin is to blasphemy the Holy Spirit.
We are walking on very thin ice here my friends.
We should praise Him for He is the one that leads us to the Lord Christ
Jesus.
Isaiah 7:13 says; Then he said, "Hear now, O house of David! Is it a
small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also?
Isaiah is speaking about those who don't receive the Lord.
They refuse to trust God for their needs.
Even when they are surrounded by their enemies and in a bad way.
They could lose their lives yet they won't turn to God.
They are of their own opinion and think they know more than God.
We must pray for people with that mind set.
For they will surely spend all the days in hell for eternity.
Ephesians 4:31 says; Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and
evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
Paul continues to warn us to let all of our past actions to fall away.
We can't serve the world and the Lord at the same time.
There is no light in the darkness.
There is no darkness in the ligh.
You are either in the light or in the darkness.
James 4:11 says; Do not speak evil of one another, brethren, He who
speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the
law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a
doer of the law but a judge.
All brothers and sisters are of one body.
The Body of Christ should not come against one another.
When we speak against a brother or sister the Body of Christ is not
working together.
If it continues the body will divide and weaken the body.
The Body of Christ has to flow in order to do the work of the Lord.
When the Body of Christ flows it is working effectively to draw the lost
into the light.
Titus 3:3 says; For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobediant,
deceived, serving various lust and pleasures, living in malice and
envy, hateful and hating one another.
Paul was pointing out that they used to live their lives in this manner.
But Christians have to live a clean life.
A quiet life if you will.
Not that you have no social life but that we must stay away from the
trappings of the world.
We must be calm in all situations to show the lost that our God is
powerful and in control and we have no worries as long as we are
walking in His ways.
Ephesians 4:32 says; And be kind to one another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
As God has done for us we must do unto others.
Whether they are brothers and sisters in the Lord or the lost souls.
Gods love, compassion, and forgiving to others freely as God has
given them to us freely.
2 Corinthians 6:10 says; As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor
yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all
things.
As Christians we should be sorrowful for all the lost in the world.
Yet rejoicing because we are part of the Body of Christ and have the
Holy Spirit residing in us.
Not have much according to the worlds standards.
Yet making many rich with the knowledge and wisdom of our Lord
Christ Jesus and our Savior.
The knowledge of salvation, love, hope, grace, faith, compassion, and
the everlasting life we have through Jesus Christ our Lord the one
and only Son of God.
Mark 11:25 says; And whenever you stand praying, if you have any-
thing against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may
also forgive you your trespasses.
Jesus said this because He didn't want anyone of His to be deceived.
Many have unforgiveness in their hearts and they must ask the Lord
for help.
To get rid of the unforgiveness and love those who have done you
wrong at one time or another.
The enemy doesn't want us to know that if we can't forgive neither
can our heavenly Father.
Search your heart and see if there is anyone who you haven't forgiven
If there is pray for them, for their salvation.
There is good in every man or woman look for their good points it will
make it easier to forgive them.

THAT LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS.
