REDEMPTION
This word I am getting from the Lord is so important that we under-
stand.
That we understand exactly how our sins are forgiven and hopefully
will help us when we are witnessing to a lost soul.
First I looked up the defiition of redemption.
Redemption: The act, process, or an instance of redeeming.
Redeem: to buy back to get or win back, also to free from what
distresses or harms, to free from captivity by payment or ransom,
to free from consequences of sin.
All who are born can have redemption in Christ all we have to do is ask
Him into our hearts and ask for forgiveness of our sins.
Then we must start walking in the Lords ways.
Ephesians 1: 3 says: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessings in
the heavenly places in Christ."
When we ask Jesus into our hearts He then starts to fill us with love,
joy, faith, and the Holy Spirit enters us.
Jesus begins to prepare a place for Us in heaven.
The spiritual gifts are given to us as we grow in the Lord.
Our gifts from above are mostly spiritual but that doesn't mean God
won't bless us with material things.
There is no guarentee us health, wealth, and posperity.
As a Christian no matter where we live in the world in our spirit we are
sitting with the Lord.
When Jesus died on the cross with all the sins of the world He paid
the price for all who were ever born.
We have redemption in Christ.
Ephesians 1: 4-5 says; "Just as He chose us in Him before the foun-
dation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame
before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by
Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasures of His will.
God knew us before we were ever born.
He had a plan for each of us.
But we have to go before the Lord with love in our hearts and asking
for forgiveness so we come before Him holy and without blame.
God loves us all, everyone that has ever been born.
There is nothing He doesn't know about us.
The Lord knows what we will need tomorrow before we know what we
need.
Ephesians 1:6 says; to the praise of glory of His grace, by which He
made us accepted in the Beloved.
In this verse Paul was talking about Gods Beloved Son Jesus Christ our
Lord and Savior.
Ephesians 1: 7-8 says; In Him we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace which
He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence.
Paul is saying that through the blood of Jesus He bought us back and
forgave all the sins of the world.
In the beginning the people used animal sacrifices and received for-
giveness through the blood.
When Jesus went to the cross and allowed man to nail Him to the
cross His blood is the atonement for our sins.
Ephesians 1; 9 says; having make known to us the mystery of His will
according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himsef.
Paul is saying that it isn't anything to solve.
When Paul says mystery was that once God hid His will before but
now was revealing it.
Romans 11: 25 says; For I do not desire, brethren, that you should
be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own
opinion, that blindness is part has happened to Israel until the
fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
Paul was saying here that Israel had their own opinion and were not in
Gods will so He hid it from them, but God had not given up on them
Gods will was made known to the Gentiles and then He would turn
back to His chosen people.
Ephesians 1:10 says; that in the dispenstion of the fullness of the
times He might gather together in one all things in Christ both
which are in heaven and which are on earth--in Him.
Paul is speaking about God puttig the house together under His rules
and we will all live in Gods Kingdom for eternity.
God doesn't change but we do.
We grow and learn and sometimes get strbborn and think we know
more than God.
Then God has to bring us back down to earth and in His will again.
In verses 1; 11-12, Paul talks about our inheritance being predestined
as His children and we are to be in His will.
To serve Him, praise Him, and to worship Him for who He is.
God is the creator of all things who else would have the right to be
worshiped?
We trust Him because He loved us before we were ever born and He
wants only the best for His children.
Ephesians 1: 13-14 says; In Him you also trust, after you heard the
word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having
believed you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is
the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the
purchase possession, to the praise of His glory.
We know in our hearts the truth.
The Holy Spirit guides us through each day.
We must cotinue to seek Gods will.
In all that we do it must glorify the Lord.
Too many people think once your salvation is sealed that is all you
have to do.
Oh my friends there is so much more.
Getting to know the Lord has been the best time of my life.
I also know that all the knowledge and wisdom that God has blessed
me with is about the size of 1 eyelash.
There is so much more I need to learn.
God is not done with me by a long shot.
I desire more of Jesus.
His love fills me daily.
My prayer is that who ever reads these words, the Lord gave me, will
be encouraged and seek the Lords will daily. To get to know Him
better. To desire to serve Him more to increase the kingdom. I
pray you will not get comfortable where you are in the Lord. Jesus
died for us don't you think that He deserves all of us not just part
of our hearts.
