As I was walking one day and praying
I asked the Lord which way I go
He told me that the easy way wasn't always the right way
I pondered on that for a while
I saw a paved road smooth and flat
This was most certainly the easy way
Then I saw a gravel road
I noticed that it kept getting narrower
Then it turned to dirt
I kept walking through the road was narrow it was beautiful
There were flowers. Grass and trees
Animals frolicked in the meadows
Creeks with cool clear water to drink when I got thirsty
The road changed again
Now it turned to mud
There were so many pot holes
I kept falling and grew tired
Then I noticed that every time I fell there was an oil and rock road
So I took one of the oil and rock roads
For a time everything seemed to be fine
It was lined with trees, flowers, and grass
But then I grew thirsty
I noticed then that there was no water
I kept walking for a long while
I could no longer see the narrow road
I went around a bend in the road
I noticed that no longer were there any flowers
There were beer bottles and whiskey bottles
Then around the next bend there was no grass
In its place was trash discarded everywhere
The animals were afraid of me and ran away
Around the next bend I noticed that I could no longer see the road
It was covered with trash
I got scared and began to tremble
I needed the Lord but I dared not to cry out to Him because I had failed Him
I began to run as fast as I could
But I couldn't get back to the narrow road
I finally came to the wide paved road
I started walking and for a short time everything seemed all right
It started to change
But to my horror what I saw next made me sick and I wept
There were men and women a like drunk
Children walking on the road hungry and angry
Men and women a like beating and abusing their children
Drug dealers no matter where I looked
Children dead from a drug over dose
Men, women, and children being raped
There was a big building on my left side
Pregnant women went in but when they came out were no longer pregnant
I looked again and there was a huge dumpster
I walked over and looked in
I began to cry and screamed WHY!!!!!!!!!!!
For inside that dumpster were dead babies
There were no flowers, grass, trees, or animals to be seen
Only darkness and death surrounded me
I fell on my knees and cried out
LORD, LORD forgive me
I'm so lost and can't find your path
He gently picked me up and comforted me
We walked together back to that narrow road
I know now that the narrow path is the only way
Cry out to Jesus ask Him into your hearts
Walk in His ways
Live by His Word
When your time comes Jesus will bring you home to your HEAVENLY FATHER
No more tears, sickness, pain, worries
We will praise Him forever and ever for He is worthy
PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT
LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS
