 THE CORNERSTONE

Jesus Christ is our cornerstone.

When we build our spiritual life if Christ isn't our cornerstone it will
     come to nothing.

Ephesians 2:19 says;   Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers
and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members
     of the household of God.

Paul is telling them that they too are part of the kingdom of God.

Before Christ the Gentiles didn't have access to God.

Jesus paved the way for all the people to be part of the Body of
     Christ.

Ephesians 2:20 says;   having been built on the foundation of the
apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief
     cornerstone.

The apostles and prophets are the foundation of the church because
they are the ones that built the early church.

They told about Jesus Christ and witnessed where ever they went.

Jesus Christ is the cornerstone and all the rest followed.

We are talking spiritual building of the church.

The people are the church.

The early church was not in one building but they moved from house
     to house.

Sometimes the church met on a hillside.

No matter where you meet to worship if Jesus Christ isn't the
cornerstone it is futile and will come to not.

Jesus has to be the reason or you have missed it and will not enter
     the Kingdom of God.

1Corinthians 3:11 says;   For no other foundation can anyone lay than
that  which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Without Jesus there is no church.

1 Corinthians 20:28 says; And God has appointed these in the church.
first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles,
then gifts of healings, helps, administration, and varieties of
     tongues.

As you can see by the order which God fills the positions in the Body
of Christ there are some that are closer to the Lord.

But no matter what position you are in God loves you the same as an
     apostle.

If you truly want some of the upper positions you must pray and seek
     the Lord and wait.

1 Peter 2:4 says;   Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed
by men, but chosen by God and precious.

Paul is saying here that Jesus Christ is the living stone which God has
chosen and He is precious to God.

If you don't receive Jesus Christ you have rejected Him.

Many have rejected Jesus Christ, they are lost souls and we must
seek them out and witness to them about Jesus Christ our Lord
     and Savior.

They're living by the worlds standards and if they continue hell is
     their destination.

Ephesians 2:21 says;   in whom the whole building, being fitted
together, grows into a Holy Temple in the Lord.

This verse is talking about God fitting the people together to make the
Body of Christ perfect and Holy.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 says;    Do you not know that you are the
temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?   If any-
one defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him.   For the
temple of God is holy, which temple are you?

Paul is saying that we (people) are the temple, that the Spirit of God
     is living in us.

All of us has a part in the Body of Christ and all are important.

He is also saying that anyone who comes in and tries to disrupt or
destroy the church by division, malis or harmful acts is setting
themselves up to be punished by God.

Ephesians 2:22 says;   in whom you also are being built together for a
dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Praise the Lord for He has made the way we can be with Him always
     through His Spirit.

The scriptures I used in this word, the Lord gave me, are;
     Ephesians 2:19-22,  Acts 2,  1 Corinthians 3:11,  12:13,  12:28,
     3:16-17,  1 Peter 2:1-9,  Matthew 16:18,  Psalms 118:22,
     John 17:23.

It is so important that we stay in the word and get to know the Lord
     more.

I encourage you to read all the scriptures and see what the Lord
     reveals to you.

He just might give you a better insight in His Word.

My prayer is that who ever reads these words, the Lord gave me, will
keep a check on themselves and make sure that your cornerstone
is fully in place.   That you will use this word as a witnessing tool.
That you will make sure that you never disrupt or try to destroy
the church or you will find yourself in a place where God will
     discepline you.

God bless you and your family, may the Lord keep you close to Him.

PRAISE GOD THE FATHER, JESUS OUR SAVIOR, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT
     THAT LIVES WITHIN ALL CHRISTIANS.
